Everything You Need to Know About the 2025 Fun Run

The Fun Run is almost here—and if you’re new to Oak Ridge or Forestdale, you’re in for a treat! This is our biggest (and hopefully only!) fundraiser of the year, and it’s one the kids absolutely love.

What is the Fun Run?

Throughout the month of October, students will be raising money to support the Sandwich Elementary PTA. Then, on October 24 (Forestdale) and October 31 (Oak Ridge), the school will come together to celebrate outside with 25 minutes of running, walking, skipping, or dancing with friends. It’s all about fun, movement, and school spirit! And it’s during the school day! Find your students “run” time below.

Why The Fun Run Matters

Last year, thanks to the Fun Run, the PTA was able to fully fund:

Field trips like the Zoo (Kindergarten), Plimoth Patuxet Museum (3rd), Waquoit Bay Reserve (4th), the Blake Planetarium (6th), a theater trip (2nd) and many more
Performances and experiences, including Vento Chiaro for grades 3rd & 4th and a New England Coastal Wildlife Association visit for PreK students
Classroom supplies for the Art and Technology rooms, REACH program supplies, and the Forestdale Lending Library
Special extras like field day activities, a wheelchair attachment to make outdoor events accessible to all students, and a storage bench for the Forestdale outdoor classroom

Every dollar raised goes right back into making these experiences possible for nearly 1,200 Sandwich students.

How to Register For The Fun Run

Registration is FREE for all students who participate.
- Every student who registers will get a free Fun Run t-shirt to wear on event day, on field trips (if your teacher asks you to), and at field day (if you want!).

Fun Run Incentives & Prizes

To keep things exciting, we’ll have incentives along the way—like pajama days—for classes and grade levels with the highest registration and fundraising totals. See some of the fun we had last year with Bagels With The Boss!

Share your student’s donation link with family and friends. (Last year we had donations from 50 states… can we do it again?)
