Third graders visited the Museums at Patuxet for an immersive history experience exploring Wampanoag and Pilgrim life. Students ground corn, stepped inside a wetu, saw a mishoon being made, and played historical games. This hands-on field trip supported the Massachusetts history curriculum and helped students connect classroom learning to real-life experiences

Fourth graders attended the Cape Symphony’s Young People’s Concert, experiencing live orchestral music that connects to their music curriculum. Students learned about American culture, heard professional musicians, and enjoyed highlights like singing the national anthem.

The Sandwich Elementary PTA proudly introduced the Book Nook, a book-vending machine funded entirely through Scholastic Rewards. Designed to boost literacy, celebrate student success, and increase access to high-quality books, the Book Nook brings a fun, motivating reading experience to Oak Ridge.
