PTA Funds Wheelchair Attachment for Greater Accessibility

The Sandwich Elementary PTA is proud to support a request from school Physical Therapist Emilie Cataldo for a special wheelchair attachment that helps students navigate gravel and uneven ground with ease. This simple but powerful tool allows students who use wheelchairs to more fully participate in outdoor school events—something many of us may take for granted.

A video shared with the PTA clearly shows the dramatic difference the attachment makes, transforming bumpy, challenging terrain into smooth, accessible ground for all. With Field Day just around the corner, we’re thrilled to have this equipment in place so every student can join in the fun.
