Kindergarten Heads to the Zoo – Thanks to the PTA!

Forestdale Kindergarteners had a wild and wonderful adventure on their recent field trip to the Buttonwood Park Zoo, made possible by a grant from the Sandwich Elementary PTA. This marked the first Kindergarten field trip in several years, and while it was no small feat for our hardworking teachers, the day was filled with excitement, discovery, and plenty of smiles.

Students were thrilled to see spider monkeys swinging through their habitat, an impressive elephant, a curious lynx—and perhaps most exciting of all, a horse that just might be expecting a baby! Many PTA parents joined in to help, and all came away with a new level of appreciation for our incredible Kindergarten team. We think they’ve earned a medal, a cookie, and definitely a foot rub after this unforgettable day!
