The Story Behind The Oak Ridge Mural And How Collaboration Is The Key!

It’s finally spring, and creativity is blooming in the halls of Oak Ridge.

Thanks to the generous donations from the Fun Run fundraiser, Oak Ridge students have been given the gift of watching art come to life right in their hallways. And they’re not just watching—they’re contributing, too, sharing their ideas, suggestions, and hopes for the mural.

Local artist Nick Zaremba has created a design that celebrates Sandwich and has been hard at work during the school day. To everyone’s surprise, students have respectfully given him space and kept their hands off the freshly painted walls. While their hands have stayed to themselves, their voices have been heard—Nick has incorporated many of their ideas into the mural.
