The Sugar Plum Fairy Shopping Event is Here!

The holidays are full of magic, and this event might be the sweetest tradition of all. The Sugar Plum Fairy Shopping Event gives kids the chance to experience the joy of giving by doing their own holiday shopping—independently and in secret.

How The PTA Sugar Plum Fairy Shopping Event Works

Each student is paired with one of our volunteer “Fairy shoppers,” who helps them choose gifts for family and friends. Parents bring their children and let the magic unfold while our helpers guide each young shopper through a selection of affordable items—everything priced to fit kid-sized budgets.

Once the gifts are chosen, we take care of the wrapping so every present is ready to go straight under the tree. Parents can relax, enjoy a coffee, and look forward to some wonderful surprises when the wrapping paper comes off at home.

Sugar Plum Fairy Gift Pricing & Payment

All gifts are priced with kids in mind—most items range from $1 to $5, with a few special options available between $7 and $10. No item will exceed $10.

To make checkout smooth and simple for the kids and our volunteers, please bring cash or a check for purchases. Checks made payable to Sandwich Elementary PTA.

We’ll also be sending home a shopping list ahead of time so students know who they’re shopping for and can plan their spending before they arrive. Don't want to wait for that list to get crammed into your students' folder? Download it here instead!

We suggest you bring a reusable shopping bag or a tote to carry the purchases home easily. We will have limited supply of boxes available.

Timed Entry for a Smooth Experience

To keep things running smoothly and give every shopper a special experience, we’re staggering entry times by last name:

• 12 PM | Last names A–H

• 1 PM | Last names I–Q

• 2 PM | Last names R–Z

A Little Something for Parents

While the little shoppers are busy choosing the perfect presents, we’re creating a space for parents to enjoy themselves, too. We’re working with local vendors to bring coffee, treats, and a few unique gifts for purchase—perfect for anyone still checking names off their own holiday list.

• Cape Cod Photo Bus

• Sandy’s Cookies

• Allyson Johnston- Plant-based Wellness products

• Little Blue Bird Tea Towels

A Tradition of Giving

This event is more than shopping—it’s a way for kids to feel the excitement of choosing thoughtful gifts for the people they love. Watching their pride as they hand over a gift they picked themselves is pure holiday magic.

Join us for this year’s Sugar Plum Fairy Shopping Event and make a little holiday magic of your own.
